Treat Your Creative Brain to Something New

Where's your creative brain?

Where’s your creative brain?

Seven-year-old Jillian H. collaborated with her mom, Raime H., to create this response to the question “Where’s your creative brain?” Right where it should be — at the desk. But they don’t want to leave it at the desk too long.

Fortunately, Jillian and Raime can take their creative brains out for a treat. They won the third drawing in the Where’s Your Creative Brain photo contest and will receive a $15 Starbucks gift card!

To keep their brains creative, they should look for a Starbucks someplace they haven’t visited before. So should you. Your brain and your creativity benefit from field trips.

Novelty boosts creativity for a number of reasons: it increases possibilities for creative collaboration, boosts the imagination and stimulates the brain. New places give you the raw material to make new connections and associations that are the heart of creativity.

Why not take your creative brains (both the pink one you picked up at a participating location and the one you were born with) someplace new today? And while you’re there, take a photo and enter the contest.

Remember you can enter up to five times. So far only one person sent five entries — and she won the first drawing!
