The Loft Literary Center invites you to the Open House on Saturday, August 28 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Open Book, 1011 Washington Avenue, Minneapolis. You can attend mini-sessions with Loft instructors, chat with instructors at “Table-Talks” in the Commons, ask Loft staff members questions, have a little snack, and talk to other writers. Click here for a full list of the instructors who’ll be available. I’ll be presenting a session from 11:30 to 11:45 am and available for Table-Talk from 10:45 to 11:15 am. This is the last day to get the Early Registration Discount – so don’t miss it!
Loft Fall Classes start the week of September 13. I’m teaching two sessions of the Writing Habit where you’ll get a chance to explore the 3 Recommended Practices of Process, Self-care and Product Time as you create writing habits that support you in writing the way you want.
Session 1: Tuesdays 5 to 7 pm Sept 14 – Oct 19 at the Open Book
Session 2: Wednesdays 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Oct 27 – Dec 8 at the Wescott Library in Eagan
I’m also teaching Entering the Flow, one of my favorite classes and the genesis of my Place of Refuge novella. You’ll get plenty of time to explore your characters and story in our in-class writing and practice a more effective way to structure a novel, novella, short story or memoir.
I hope to see you at the Open House – please say hello, I really am an introvert and these kinds of events are so much easier when I have someone to talk to.
